Opened in 2005 and replacing the fabulous Love's, the secret of this brilliant restaurant is just perhaps Laura Hamilton. You cannot mistake the two although if I say the soup has a phantasmagorical quality many will understand the history. The atmosphere shares much with Loves of old; this is a place designed around food and experiencing it - although the ambience is happily much more relaxed with soft shades of mustard and purple focussing attention on the simplicity of rich cotton table cloths. A word of advice - the puddings really DO count here and as much a vital part of the experience as the starter. Also note - as with all proper restaurants, Queans is closed on Mondays. Scrumptious.
